Meet The Staff At Freshfields Equine Retirement Home
At Fresh Fields Equine Retirement Home all our staff strive to ensure that your horse is cared for as well as you would yourself.

Sally Hamilton French
Sally’s love of horses spans some 63 years. When Sally moved to Muckley Farm, and its surrounding 58 acres, over 15 years ago she made the decision she wanted to share her life and love with horses. The positive decision was to offer horses in their retirement the chance to live the rest of their lives in a happy and safe environment.

Lauren Walker – Yard Manager
I have worked with race horses for over 12 years. After attending the Northern Racing College and obtaining my NVQ 3 in horses/racehorses care and management I went to work for National Hunt trainer Henry Daly where she ran a yard of 24 horses with great success. I found my niche with youngsters and also working with Arabs bringing them on to do endurance riding and racing. I also spent two months in America at Monmouth Park working with Flat horses. I have been with Sally for over 3 years and love to help with the retirement side, which is lovely to see them all peaceful and chilling out after all the years they have had pleasing their owners, and also to help bring on the youngsters that are coming in work to go forward into their future lives.

Emily Duncan
I have worked for Fresh Fields now for over seven years. Not only do I work with the horses which I love, I also work with the Birds of Prey and the Reptiles.
There is always something here to do at Fresh Fields. It is an amazing place to work. The horses really do have a perfect Retirement Home.
